I was given a fun sketch by Laura Whitaker to follow and came up with this layout:
I chose to do a Halloween themed layout because when I think of October, I think “Halloween”.
I used Bella Blvd’s Sweet & Spooky collection for this layout and some older American Crafts black chipboard stickers. I cut out some ghosts from a patterned paper to make my own perfect embellishments and added some enamel dots.
For a little extra detail, I ripped a few edges
So head on over to Scrap The Boys and see what the design team came up with. I know for sure you’ll be inspired!
The sketch is all about layers and I’m not a huge layer-er (is that even a word? LOL!) but I did incorporate some layers onto my page and I was inspired by the stars on the sketch.
For this layout, I used a bunch of different manufacturers.
Believe it or not, the paper is from Bella Blvd.’s “Sweet & Spooky” collection (not a birthday collection even though it’s a birthday layout!), the flair is from “A Flair for Buttons”, stickers from the Pink Fresh “Boys Fort” collection and the foam words I used for the title and epoxy dots are Jillibean Soup.
So head on over to The Studio Challenges to see the sketch I used to create this page and have a look at what the rest of the DT came up with.
Here’s my interpretation of it. I chose to turn the sketch counter-clockwise.
I used papers from Kaisercraft’s “Blessed” collection, ephemera bits from Vicki Boutin’s “Colour Kaleidoscope” collection and a piece of paper from her “Field Notes” collection. I chose to do a black and white background so my picture popped!
The title word is from Jillibean Soup’s “Harvest Garden” collection.
I finished off the layout with some yellow enamel dots, a few yellow flower stickers with little crystal centres and a piece of black and white flair.
So head on over to The Studio Challenges to see the sketch and check out the gorgeous layouts from the rest of the design team.
And here’s my take on the sketch (also week 13 of “52 Favourites”):
I used the Vicki Boutin “Colour Kaleidoscope” collection I purchased from Scrapbook Nerd.
I also used a few enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye, some stickers from Simple Stories, a wooden button from an older Shimelle collection and the title “this” is from the Jillibean Soup “Garden Harvest” collection.
