Today over at The Studio Challenges we’re on a Chevron kick!
We’re asking you to use Chevrons on your layout. It’s one of MY absolute favourite shapes!
Here’s the layout I created:
I found this old photo of Mathieu while I was packing and decided I would use it for the challenge. I used Kaisercraft’s “Hide & Seek” collection. This sweet collection worked perfectly with my sweet photo. 🥰
The title words are from Jillibean Soup and the wooden Chevrons from Creative Embellishments.
Looking now at the photo of my completed layout, if I were to do it again, I would change a few things. But overall, I like the randomness of it. I learned long ago not every layout is going to be a favourite! Some days you’re on your game, and other days, not so much. Today was a not so much day for me!! LOL!
Anyhow, we would LOVE you to join us over at The Studio Challenges. If you do, please link up your layout. You may be chosen to be our next guest designer!
There is a new challenge today over at The Studio Challenges.
The challenge is fussy cutting! This is actually something I love to do so I really enjoyed this challenge. On this layout I cut all the leaves out from a 12×12 sheet of paper.
My background paper is from Crate Paper’s “La La Love” collection and the rest of the paper is from the Carta Bella “Our Hose” collection (with the exception of the triangle paper which is from an older Fancy Pants collection).
The chipboard title, “best friends” is from Creative Embellishments.
When I do a lot of journaling on my pages, I like to write everything out in pencil first to make sure it all fits the way I want it to and then go over it in marker. Well, I used up the last of my lead in my mechanical pencil and I could not find another pencil in my house for the life of me! LOL! So, I said a prayer and started journaling in marker in hopes that it would all fit and it would be nice and straight. I’m SO GLAD it turned out! 😀
So head on over to The Studio Challenges blog and check out what the rest of the design team came up with. And if you join in the challenge, make sure you share your creation with us! We love to see you work!
Today’s my first Design Team challenge over at “The Studio Challenges” blog!
We were asked to scraplift a layout that was done by another designer.
Here’s my take on the challenge.
I used the adorable “Cooper & Friends” collection by PHOTO PLAY Papers. I did A LOT of fussy cutting for this page! There’s 1 paper that had a ton of adorable dogs on it, so I cut out a bunch of the dogs and a fire hydrant (what’s a boy dog page without a fire hydrant? LOL). Then to add some dimension to the page, I popped up some of my cut out elements and added some enamel dots.
Want to see which layout I scraplifted and what I challenged myself to do? Then head on over to The Studio Challenges blog and find out!
We would love to see your creations too, so don’t forget to link up your layout for a chance at Guest designing for us!
I just got back into the scrapbooking game not long ago and last week I was invited to design for “The Studio Challenges“; a scrapbooking challenge blog based in the UK. I’m thrilled! We have fun scrapbook challenges and sketches every other Sunday and we would love for you to play along. If you link up your layout for a challenge, you could be chosen to be a Guest Designer. You can click here to meet all the other Design Team members.
THEN, to top it all off, I received an email from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. I’M BEING PUBLISHED IN THE SUMMER 2019 ISSUE! I’m so excited! I can’t share which layout it is, but you’ll be able to see it when your Summer issue arrives. What? You don’t have a subscription yet? Click here to get that going!!
Off to get some assignments done!! 😀
