Here’s my interpretation of it. I chose to turn the sketch counter-clockwise.
I used papers from Kaisercraft’s “Blessed” collection, ephemera bits from Vicki Boutin’s “Colour Kaleidoscope” collection and a piece of paper from her “Field Notes” collection. I chose to do a black and white background so my picture popped!
The title word is from Jillibean Soup’s “Harvest Garden” collection.
I finished off the layout with some yellow enamel dots, a few yellow flower stickers with little crystal centres and a piece of black and white flair.
So head on over to The Studio Challenges to see the sketch and check out the gorgeous layouts from the rest of the design team.
Create a project using the 2019 Pantone colour of the year – coral!
Here’s the layout I created:
I really had to look for something in my stash that was coral! LOL! I had recently created a layout using up all my coral papers, so I was really happy to find ONE piece of coral paper in the Photo Play“Stuck On You” collection I just received.
I only used this one piece of paper for the layout. The embellishments I used are from a number of different manufacturers – Simple Stories, Kaisercraft, Bella Blvd., Creative Embellishments and American Crafts just to name a few.
This week got away from me and I was only able to complete 1 challenge for NSD.
I played along with a challenge over at Scrapbook Nerd ~ Friends Group. It was a “patterned paper” challenge. You had to use as many different patterned papers as you could on one layout. I managed to fit 7 different papers on this page!
Even with using 7 patterned papers on my layout, I still managed to make the photos stand out by having the patterned papers only peek out slightly from behind the photos. Also, I used a paper with a very small pattern for my background paper.
I used papers and stickers from the “Let’s Go” collection by Kaisercraft and then added a few yellow enamel dots and a taxi button from an older Shimelle collection to finish it off.
Because I used multiple photos and so many patterned papers, I didn’t want to add too many more elements.
Well, it’s Mother’s Day today, so Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
We’re asking you to create a project using items from your crafting supplies that spell the word “SPRING”.
I actually found this challenge, well, challenging! LOL!! There are a lot of items that start with the letters in “SPRING”, however, you have to use them all together in one project.
Here’s my take on the challenge:
I mainly used Vicki Boutin’s “Field Notes” collection I purchased from Scrapbook Nerd. The colours were SUPER springy and I was able to meet most of the challenge criteria with the collection alone! BONUS!
The word “hello” is from Jillibean Soup’s “Garden Harvest” collection and the enamel dots from Doodlebug Designs.
I really hope you play along! If you do, remember to link up your project on our blog. We LOVE to see your work!
So head on over to The Studio Challenges blog and find out what items I used and see what the rest of the DT team came up with.
And here’s my take on the sketch (also week 13 of “52 Favourites”):
I used the Vicki Boutin “Colour Kaleidoscope” collection I purchased from Scrapbook Nerd.
I also used a few enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye, some stickers from Simple Stories, a wooden button from an older Shimelle collection and the title “this” is from the Jillibean Soup “Garden Harvest” collection.
